The client had a clear idea of what testers they needed for their products. The drill hammer was taught to semi-professionals, so it was necessary to ensure and check that the testers signed up really understood DIY and were neither beginners nor professionals with different demands on the performance and durability of their tools. The fact that the products were available at a 50% discount and not for free may have deterred people from signing up for testing, yet we had more than enough people signed up. The second product tested, a cordless screwdriver, is available exclusively on the Bosch e-store. This makes it difficult to collect organic reviews. Brand Testing Club was therefore tasked with obtaining authentic reviews. Thanks to the detailed entry forms, the 20 most suitable testers could be selected.
Sometimes it happens that a user chooses the wrong product. This can be a problem especially when a professional chooses a DIY product that doesn't last. It was therefore crucial that the chosen testers had the appropriate level of skill and experience for the product. Fortunately, our client supplied the exact requirements for our testers and we were able to accommodate them in their selection. In addition to our ability to select suitable testers, the client also welcomed the coordinated approach to collecting reviews.
Getting reviews for the cordless screwdriver was important to the client because this product is only on their e-shop and not in distribution, making it difficult for many customers to decide whether to purchase it. Authentic reviews from our testers neatly solve this problem.
We were able to get relevant testers through the application form. Out of 110 applicants, we selected the 20 most suitable ones who recommended the products with a 100% score and gave the products 4.9 and 4.7 stars. Testers wrote long and detailed reviews full of relevant information for consumers and shared organic photos as well. The reviews were positive and it was even possible to tell that the testers have had a good experience with Bosch products for a long time, which further supports the social proof of the reviews, the brand and the products.
